Los Angeles, California September 2nd 2010- Throughout his illustrious career Jack Irons has been known for his dynamic playing ability, and unique approach to music.  Jack was the original drummer of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and later the drummer of Pearl Jam, as well as a founding member of Eleven.

Since his departure from Pearl Jam, and the Red hot Chili Peppers: Jack has been growing his studio resume, which includes Spinnerette, Die Mannequin and Hole’s latest release, “Nobody’s Daughter”. He has also worked with Neil Young, Joe Strummer, Keith Levine, What Is This and Red Kross among others.  In 2004 he released his first solo record “Attention Dimension”.

Supporting his new solo release “No Heads Are Better Than One,” [August 24th 2010] Jack has joined the Masters of Maple Artist Roster. Jack first encountered Masters of Maple while recording Die Mannequin’s latest album. Through a mutual friend [Paul Shull manager of Die Mannequin] Jack would cross paths with owner and founder Sahir Hanif:

Sahir said, “When I was first told that I could get in touch with jack, I was so excited. He is a legend, and one of my favorite drummers, I knew I could build him something unlike anything he had ever played.”

The two kept in touch for the next few months, Jack gave Sahir an opportunity to drum tech on a session: there he fell in love with tone, and quality. The overall vibe of the company in addition to the finish struck Jack as something he needed to be a part of. “The drums were some of the most musical drums I have played in my career.” said Irons.

Sahir later said, “Who knew: a year after our first phone conversation, he would be a part of our artist network, in addition to us becoming great friends. We are looking forward to supporting him in all of his endeavors, and a long relationship; I am thrilled to have him be a part of the company, and making our roster truly eclectic.’

Jack is supporting his new release with plenty of digital media, videos, and a select number of performances to be determined at a later date.
